In case not everyone heard, Heather Wareham, the Mom who we joked would go into labor during our game of "I Have Never", did just that! Her and her husband welcomed their new little girl, Adalynn Grace early yesterday morning. They are both doing great! So the game didn't just "break the ice" it also "broke her water"...is that taking it to far? lol Oh well.
We were blessed with an amazing speaker this month. Ruth Ann Sissom shared with us some inspiring verses and quotes that centered on the Proverbs 31 woman. We are pulled in many directions as a wife and mother. As long as we stay centered on God's word and serve HIM, we will succeed in the the other aspects of our lives. And don't forget the influence we have as women. We tend to sometimes belittle ourselves, and think our "job" is not one of importance. But we have one of the most important jobs of all. The influence we have over our husbands is phenomenal. Though we may not see it all the time, our husbands often use us as a compass to help them decide which path to take when faced with a difficult decision. Helping to raise Godly children, I cannot think of a more important task! We have the chance to teach and guide our children to be Godly people, to help continue building HIS Kingdom. So when someone asks you what you do or what's new with you, don't just answer "not much", hold your head up high and tell them "Aww you know living for God and being a light." That will definitely open up a chance to spread the word!
If you check out the previous post you'll see what our craft was for September. It was a lot of fun and neat to see how each of you decorated your pan. I can't wait to see what craft Celia comes up with for October!
I hope everyone had a wonderful time and I hope to see you all plus some of your friends at the October 2nd meeting! Remember to friend request us on Facebook to stay up to date on upcoming events.
