October Meeting & Friendship Festival

Our October meeting was....a success!  Our meetings are always a success when it involves amazing ladies like you!  I loved, loved, loved the accessory exchange!  It was fun and we all ended up with new jewelry so it was a win win!

Our speaker Lana Liggett shared with us her thoughts on spiritual gifts.  She helped us to be able to differentiate between gifts and talents.  And while there are tons of tests, and surveys  out there to help you find your spiritual gift, be sure that whatever means you use is rooted in The Bible.   Once you find your gift, or accept the gift that you have been given, use it to serve Him.  He gave you this gift so that you can accomplish what he has intended you to do.  With that being said though, do not just focus on just that one gift.  You have so much to offer in so many ways!

4 Layer Pumpkin Cake
Our brunch this month was prepared by Table #1, MY table! It was delicious!  I am a little biased though.  The winner of the $10 United GC for best dish goes to Amy Scott for her Sausage Pinwheels!  Be sure to check the Recipes tab above for the recipe.  Amy also made an amazing Four Layer Pumpkin Cake.

Amy and Angela Crafting
You guys made some beautiful crosses for our craft!  I could kick myself for not getting any finished cross pictures, but the were all very pretty!  Thanks to Celia for that wonderful craft.

Friendship Festival
Want to give a HUGE thanks again to everyone who either helped out at our booth at The Friendship Festival or even stopped by.  It was cold and windy but that doesn't stop us Moms!  Not entirely sure how many shirts we sold, but we did get a few new prospective Moms, and that's 3 more women we will get to fellowship with! So the booth was definitely a success!
Our November meeting will be here before you know it, so start collecting your Operation Christmas Child items now to bring to the Nov. 6th meeting. If you need some ideas of what to get just visit their website HERE, scroll to the bottom and there is a list to help you get started.

We have some important dates coming up so keep an eye on Facebook and the blog for events and fundraisers
