Merry Christmas!

Our December meeting was fun and festive! FBC of Burk's very own Brother Bill came and read us the Christmas Story (Luke 2:1-20) to start us off.  

Our craft, thought up by Victoria was so much fun and something we will be able to look at each Christmas and remember the great group of ladies we made it with.  The picture ornaments turned out great! 

We also had an ornament exchange, and we all ended up with some nice little additions to our trees!  The left-right Twas the Night Before Christmas was a great idea and would be neat to do with our families this season. 

Our annual cookie exchange was a success!  Thank you ladies so much for bringing your favorite goodies for the exchange!  From Peppermint to Chocolate Chip, we had more than enough and I'm sure we took home more than we should have lol.  I will be posting a "Cookie Countdown" starting tomorrow!  I'll post one cookie recipe a day for 10 days so keep an eye out for your favorite so you can add it to your baking list this Christmas! 

Our mentor moment, brought to us my Jan Holtzen (funny and heartfelt as always), was exactly what I personally needed to hear and I want to thank her for reminding us all what Christmas is all about.  We tell our kids all season long what the "Reason For the Season" is but I think we are guilty ourselves of losing sight of that.  We get so caught up in gifting, decorating, baking, parties and get togethers that we forget to take a time out and connect with Him, and rejoice with Him.

Thank you ladies for a wonderful 2012!  I hope you all have gotten a little something special out of our Mom2Mom meetings every month so far.  Our 2013 meetings are shaping up to be great and we hope to see you and your guests in January!
